    Trump welcomed by UAE President in Abu Dhabi state visit

    United States President Donald Trump arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday for a state visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he was received by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Presidential Airport. The visit commenced with an official welcome ceremony, featuring a ceremonial escort by UAE military jets. As the US presidential aircraft entered UAE airspace, the escort squadron established radio contact to request permission to accompany the aircraft to its destination. The gesture was a formal symbol of the UAE’s welcome to the visiting head of state.

    Accompanying President Sheikh Mohamed at the airport were senior Emirati officials, including His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President. Other dignitaries present for the reception included Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President’s Office for Strategic Affairs and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; and Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States.

    President Trump is accompanied by an official delegation from the United States, with the visit scheduled to include bilateral talks focused on regional cooperation, trade, defense, and strategic partnerships. The discussions are expected to reflect both countries’ shared interests in maintaining regional stability and expanding economic ties. The state visit underscores the continuing close relationship between the UAE and the United States.

    Both nations have collaborated across a broad range of sectors including defense, commerce, and counterterrorism. Officials on both sides have noted the value of sustained diplomatic engagement. President Trump’s itinerary in the UAE will feature meetings with senior Emirati leaders, as well as participation in formal events highlighting areas of mutual cooperation.
